Constitutional Connection: Article III- The Judicial Branch, Section 1
"The judicial Power of the United States, shall be vested in one supreme Court, and in such inferior Courts as the Congress may from time to time ordain and establish. The Judges, both of the supreme and inferior Courts, shall hold their Offices during good Behavior, and shall, at stated Times, receive for their Services a Compensation which shall not be diminished during their Continuance in Office."
Explanation of Connection: This article is about how the California Law is trying to ban violent video games for minors without going against the first amendment. California won the hearing to the supreme court. This way the state can have what they want and do not have to worry about going against the firs amendment because the protection of free speech does not apply to children and teens.
This article demonstrates Article III, section 1 of the United States Constitution. The supreme court has more power than other courts to cases that are presented. The Supreme court has a choice to wither agree or disagree with California, and they chose to agree. This shows how much power the Supreme court has.
I totally agree with California. I think that they should not sell violent video games to minors because children these days do what they see on video games in real life. I believe that the supreme court agree because they do not want children to be influenced by violence and they trying to protect them and other people.
